Debbi joined JLA Media in September 2008, bringing 22 years of industry and media experience to the company. In her previous role as Group Sales Director with The Royal Institution of Naval Architects, Debbi was responsible for media titles and events in the maritime, offshore and naval sectors. She has invaluable experience in the Chinese, Russian, Brazilian and Vietnamese maritime and energy markets. Debbi’s responsibilities at JLA include business development, account management, media and comms planning, liaising with the global press and organising press and customer events.

Hugh provides presswork services on behalf of our clients. With over 25 years of experience as a technical journalist in the global maritime, offshore, ports and cargo handling fields, he was formerly Editor of The Naval Architect and Technical Editor at Lloyd’s List, where he also spent time working on the news desk and reporting on the International Maritime Organization.

After serving at sea with P&O, Paul joined Fairplay magazine in 1977. Moving to Lloyd’s of London Press (subsequently Informa plc) in 1987 he took on a number of roles including Sales Director of Lloyd’s Maritime Information Services and Lloyd’s List Events. In 2002 Paul became the publisher of Lloyd’s List, the flagship publication in the Informa’s Maritime & Transport Division. Paul set up his own maritime media consultancy business in 2005 before joining JLA Media in 2009 bringing 32 years of maritime media experience with him.

Emma joined JLA in 2011 and has a leading role in the agency’s production and design, event management and social media services. With a creative background and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Editorial and Advertising Photography, Emma manages design projects for JLA clients including ClassNK, Foreship, Samskip, Gibdock and YSA Design. Emma also manages advertising, PR and social media campaigns for some of JLA’s industry leading clients, as well as managing our own website and social media activities.

Neil Levett joined JLA Media as our Lead Sector Consultant in the newly-created Oil & Gas division at the beginning of 2019, taking responsibility for a fast-growing part of the organisation’s PR and communications activities. In line with JLA Media’s policy of offering sector-specific expertise, Neil brings 16 years of experience in the offshore market. Previous roles include that of Global Associate Publisher, Offshore Engineer, where he developed a deep understanding of the global oil, gas and renewables markets, as well as unrivalled contacts among its influencers. Neil’s appointment continues JLA Media’s preference for investing in the people best equipped to deliver on PR and communications strategy, planning and implementation.
